This project was a school assignment that explored the art of kinematic photo storytelling — the craft of telling a photographic narrative through cinematic language.
It’s a story about Boris Haug, a violin maker who travelled to Italy to learn the traditional craft of violin making, and then returned to his homeland to build violins using centuries-old techniques, deliberately avoiding modern tools. It’s a story about nostalgia, dedication to craftsmanship, and the quiet pursuit of a practice that values precision, tradition, and personal connection to the material.
